GAPCSA—Good News!

July 25, 2012 • Posted in Project R&R News

Today, July 25, the U.S. Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works passed S.810, the Great Ape Protection and Cost Savings Act, out of committee. This is a vital initial step to end the use of chimpanzees in invasive biomedical research and retire all federally-owned chimpanzees to permanent sanctuary. Now the bill can be considered and voted on by the full Senate.

Thank you for contacting your senators and making this happen!

Theodora Capaldo, Ed.D.
President
